The Iron Games will help us raise much-needed funds and awareness of haemochromatosis in Ireland and help support the life-changing work of the Irish Haemochromatosis Association.
Haemochromatosis (or iron overload due to excess iron in the body) is a potentially fatal condition if not detected early. It is the most common genetic disease in Ireland, where 1 in 5 people are carriers ie 20% of the population and 1 in 83 people are predisposed to develop it. You can help us raise awareness and advance early detection of haemochromatosis by supporting events and initiatives such as the Iron Games Ireland and ensure its success!
